The 6005 aluminum extrusion wraps above the top of the barrel to protect the shooter's support side thumb from barrel heat.

The Stoeger 12” handguard weighs in at just 10.4 oz and is hard anodized flat black.
The Stoeger 16” handguard weighs in at just 13.1 oz and is hard anodized flat black.
The handguard ships fully assembled and installs directly in place of the factory forend with no modifications to the shotgun.
Please Note: 12 inch handguards will work with a factory forend nut, however to ease disassembly we recommend the use of either our
magazine cap weight or a
magazine extension. 16 inch handguards will require the use of a magazine extension with a permanently attached forend nut to allow disassembly of the gun.

If the factory, non-removable magazine tube is extended past the forend as shown here, then the 16" handguard will not work on your gun without replacing the magazine tube. the 16" handguard must be used with a removable magazine extension to facilitate assembly and disassembly of the gun.
